The Las Vegas ‘Strip’ – A composite photo

I like taking early morning walks or go hiking when the temperature is cooler. I was hiking up on the Anthem East Trail on ‘Black Mountain’ in Henderson, NV. The image is made up of several photos that I took while walking. Eventually I’ll get around to cleaning up the image.

Creating True Image Quilts – February 8, 2012

Today I took the original photograph of my grandmother above and the digital image of the flowers be low and made layouts of them so that I could create quilt blocks (panels) so that I could turn these images into quilts. The image above will be made from 9 panels and image below will be made from 16 panels. Todays objective was to print the panels, the next step will be to set the set the colors so that the fabric will be washable. After that the panels can be sewn together.

The True Image Art Quilt of the Tipi before I’ve added a border and started quilting. Shown below are the other quilts that I’m preparing as examples of my True Image Art Quilts.

All the quilt tops, except for the 4 panel Teepee and Lula are being prepared as Pen & Paint images to show that you can use any image that want awhen making this type of quilt.
